
Location: Head Office – Auckland.
Background: Prior to working at Exhibit Group I spent the bulk of my working career in the Pharmaceutical and Biological Animal Health Industry where I trained in Operations Management. During the latter part of my career in this industry I was part owner of a Vaccine Manufacturing Business exporting products to Europe and South Africa, as well as supplying the local market.
I came into this industry over twelve years ago completely by chance. I had sold my interests in the Vaccine Business and after doing a short 18 month stint at CRC as their Production Manager, I felt like I needed a change from business environments governed by strict regulatory controls. I was introduced to Exhibit Group’s owner Craig Joynt who at the time needed someone to step in and help develop production and service processes. I immediately knew from our first conversations that we shared the same vision and values for both customer service and the internal working environment.
What I do: My job at Exhibit Group is titled General Manager but my primary role is to help our sales people and the production/administration staff be successful in delivering a quality product to our customers. As a typical Kiwi I have a very practical approach and with my strong engineering background I get a kick out of solving product technical problems and enjoy customising standard products to meet customer requirements and provide outstanding visual displays.
